 Meet the crew
If you are lucky you'll spot us chugging along the River Nene at weekends.  Look out for 'GOWER' and give us a yell!  We usually have some 'painting-in-progress' and plenty of order forms.  During the summer months we'll post our mooring stops for certain dates when we are fully stocked.

The narrowboat 'Gower' is a 70-ft long working boat made in the 1980's by Les Allen and is powered by a Russell Newbery 18hp DM2. It previously worked on the Grand Union Canal between Northampton and Milton Keynes and belonged to the 'Cut Cloth Co.' Gower is now moored on the River Nene at Yarwell Mill and regularly travels between Peterborough and Northampton during the summer months.

Come for a wander through our workshop

You'll find it's a place of intense activity with each member of the team busily engaged in a worthwhile task.

We start with a plain piece of giftware which is then sanded down and undercoated before being painted with several coats of base colour. Once decorated, all items are varnished to give a tough, durable finish.

Over the years we've completed some really interesting projects, each one providing us with a new set of challenges to learn from. Whether we are decorating a rusty old jug or making, decorating and fitting the doors to a narrow boat.  The obvious pride we take in our work maintains our extremely high standards.
