I'm Barrie Galpin, one of the partners of A+B Books
Previously I worked at the Open University's Centre for Mathematics Education. I'm now self employed and undertake a range of consultancy work for the Open University, Texas Instruments and Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust.

My main (other) interest in life is ornithology. I'm the Northamptonshire Regional Representative for the British Trust for Ornithology. During the summer I work as a volunteer on the Rutland Ospreys project, based at nearby Rutland Water Nature Reserve. I'm involved in various bird surveys and have a particular interest in the Grasshopper Warblers which breed in the young forestry plantations here at Fineshade in the north of Northamptonshire. (SK9898). My wife, Tricia, and I work as volunteers on the nature reserve and I serve on the reserve management committee.
